STRATEGIC POLICYMAKING

Our Impact:
Policy

Transformative Environmental Policymaking

Effective global conservation requires the coordination of diverse political groups and agendas. Governments are responsible for emissions standards, deep sea mining policies, wildlife protection, and myriad other conservation issues that can’t be regulated or enforced by nonprofit organizations. The breadth of IUCN’s network of governmental and non-governmental members enables us to facilitate multilateral agreements and collaborative policymaking regionally and internationally.
