Jonathan Kaledin is an accomplished leader in the conservation and environment field and is currently Executive Vice President of the Board of The Volgenau Foundation. Within the conservation field he has held executive positions in the private, government and nonprofit sectors, including serving 15 years as the New York General Counsel of The Nature Conservancy, as General Counsel of Environmental Affairs for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and as Executive Director at several conservation/environmental non-profit organizations. His substantive areas of expertise are land conservation, water, environmental policy, climate change, and clean energy. He brings to the IUCN-US Board an extensive background in advocacy, policy, land protection, land stewardship, fundraising, board development and relations, and public communications work. He holds a B.A. from Harvard University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law. Jonathan Kaledin joined the Board of IUCN-US in January 2024.
